Our Beginnings

Bettering pilots lives while keeping the skies safe

// How it began

I believe that taking care of yourself early is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Flight Deck Ready began with an unusual combination. I was pursuing both my master’s in therapy and my private pilot license at the same time.

It was in those early flying hours and talking to pilots that I realized how much pressure builds in the quiet parts of the job. Long layovers, fatigue, the weight of responsibility, the disconnection from home. I also realized how little space there is to talk about any of it. Not because pilots don’t want help—but because getting help can feel risky.

The truth is, even if a mental health provider doesn’t diagnose you with anything, just having notes in your file can create problems. Anything written down can be reviewed and subpoenad. And when your medical is on the line, most pilots choose silence over support.

So I decided to continue my master's, but drop out at the end so that in no way can anyone make the claim that I'm a therapist. I then focused my time and energy creating a program that aligns with the needs of pilots to be fully present and prepared for a safe flight all while helping them find fulfillment and peace in their careers and life.

This is a place for pilots to talk through stress, grief, burnout, relationship strain—whatever is weighing on you—without fear that it will be used against you. No clinical notes. No diagnoses. No records. Just clear, confidential support focused on keeping you steady, focused, and healthy before things spiral into something worse.

This work is built for pilots. By someone who gets what’s at stake.
